**November 24, 1999**
SWIBCO retires 5 Puffkins: Chomper the beaver; Meadow the cow; Tux the penguin; Slick the seal; and Lizzy the lamb.

**November 24, 1999**
SWIBCO announces 5 new Puffkins: Puddles the platypus; Swifty the deer; Poppins the puffin; Petals the pink elephant; and Winky the yellow and blue frog. All five styles will begin shipping January 3, 2000.

**November 22, 1999**
SWIBCO has decided to make the newbies and retirement announcement THIS Wednesday, November 24th. We'll be anxious to see what the new Puffkins look like and to bid farewell to the retirees. Be sure to visit the Official Puffkins Website this Wednesday.

**November 21, 1999**
According to the Nov. 19th Puffkins update line, on November 29th SWIBCO will be announcing 5 new Puffkins and retiring 5 Puffkins. The update line also stated that retailers could still place orders on the Easter 2000 Puffkins, Valentine's Puffkins (Hugs & Kisses), and St. Patrick's Day Puffkins (Patty & Patrick), but with no guarantee of delivery. Hmmmm......

**November 1, 1999**
SWIBCO announces that starting today all Puffkins and Puffkin related items will be represented by a new Puffkins logo. Effective immediately all old and new Puffkin styles will feature the new logo on a new 4th generation shield style swing tag. Click on our Tag Information page for pictures.

Lawrence Hall Youth Services (LHYS) in Chicago, Illinois, recently held a yo-yo party. They brought in two yo-yo masters to teach yo yo tricks and safety to their kids, child welfare recipients age 1-21 who receive foster care, independent or residential living arrangements. According to the 99th Edition of the Puffkin Press (10/15/99) "SWIBCO is tentatively scheduling an important announcement for November 1st." This confirms what we had reported in the article on our Top Story page. We're all looking forward to the news!

Did everyone notice the new picture on the Official Puffkins Website main page? It features Happy, Cosmo, Mystic, the colorful bears and many more of the newer Puffkins. Click here to take a look.

**October 15, 1999**
Mooseltoe's name on his swing tag is spelled 'Moosletoe' although he was announced on the Swibco site and in all promotional flyers as 'Mooseltoe'. Even the Official Puffkins Collector's Guide has his name spelled 'Mooseltoe'. The error occurred when the tags were printed. His name was intended to be spelled 'Mooseltoe'. Since the Christmas Puffkins are limited editions and have already been sent to retailers no changes will be made.

**October 11, 1999**
Beans and Bears! Magazine is conducting the second annual reader poll: “Beans & Bears! Looks Back: Celebrating the Best in 1999.” The first 100 people to submit their “Beans & Bears! Looks Back” reader poll will each receive a free Puffkin. Cast your vote HERE by November 15th.

**October 8, 1999**
The November issue of Mary Beth's Bean Bag World Monthly has a list of the top 10 non-Ty bean bags. Mystic^TM the wizard is listed as #1 and Patriot^TM the eagle as #4! Way to go SWIBCO and Puffkins®!

The four new Puffkin styles, Autumn^TM, Buzz^TM, Roswell^TM, and Gertie^TM, are being shipped to retailers today. Also being shipped today are the four Limited Edition Christmas Puffkins, Elvin^TM, Mooseltoe^TM, Spice^TM, and Jangles^TM.

**September 21, 1999**
There is a new section at the Official Puffkins® Website. It's called 'Fun & Games' and features a number of fun to do puzzles and games. Also new at the site under their 'Special Events' section is some additional info about the upcoming Bean Bag World Convention. There will be specially tagged Puffkins® available commemorating the event and Special Puffkins Buttons for purchasers of Puffkins®. Click here for more details.

**September 18, 1999**
Puffkins® appeared at One Step At A Time Camp in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Operated by the Children's Oncology Services of Illinois, One Step provides a summer camp experience for children ages 7-19 with special needs. One highlight during the two weeks of camp was the Puffkins® party where campers made puppet necklaces and took pictures of each other which they mounted in hand-decorated photo frames. Campers received henna tattoos from face painter Allison Weston and balloon sculptures from clown Brad Weston. **September 17, 1999**
Puffkins® meet children around the world. According to the September 17th edition of The Puffkin Press, SWIBCO has donated 50,000 bean bag characters to Kids Around the World, a not-for-profit organization. Click HERE to read the article and see some pictures!

**September 16, 1999**
The second Mary Beth's Bean Bag World Convention is being held October 9 & 10 at Rosemont Convention Center, Rosemont, IL. Special VIP packages are available for purchase. All VIPs will receive a Special Collectors Package which will include a PUFFKIN product from SWIBCO along with many other 'exclusives'. We'll let you know as we hear more on what that Puffkin might be. Click HERE for more details.

**September 14, 1999**
SWIBCO surprised us all by announcing the newbies and retirements a day early! The six colorful bears; Buttercup, Mango, Rosie, Skylar, Telly, and Violet are now retired. The four newbies are: Autumn^TM the pheasant; Buzz^TM the bee; Roswell^TM the alien; and Gertie^TM the guinea pig.
