Emily is an 8 year-old ordinary calico cat. She answers to numerous names, including "Spot", "Spot-Monster", "Boo-Boo Kitty" and, of course, "Emily". She's not particular what you call her as long as you feed her. I also call her my "Chat Cat"--whenever I'm on the computer, she's either right there on the moniter or in the basket that sits on the table next to the moniter. Everyone should have a "chat cat". She doesn't scratch the furniture, doesn't like her stomach rubbed, is a great bug hunter, but not a great mouser. Her wants and needs are pretty simple and, once they're taken care of, she purrs contentedly. I'd say you can't ask for more than that in a cat.
Fact: When she was a kitten I threatened to name Emily "Ghangis Khan". When my daughter said, "You can't do that, she's a girl!" I said, "Fine, we'll call her Ghangis Khannie." |
