Tiffany Ann
Tiffany Ann has gone to the Rainbow Bridge now but she lives in our
hearts for all time...
Here is her story
When my mom found me, I didn't look
like this! She was on her way to work one day and spotted something small moving in a ditch on an old country road.
She thought maybe an animal had been injured and stopped to see if she could help (she's a nurse!). Although I wasn't physically injured, I had been starved and then dumped out in the country. I was barely hanging on--was so thin my skin just hung on my bones--but look at me now!!
Mom fed me, bathed me, fed me, petted me and fed me some more. Now I weigh about 85-90 pounds!!! Mom didn't have to train me, because she already had Rusty, a Shepherd/Border Collie mix who taught me everything, including how to help mom feed the horses and always warn her if there are snakes anywhere near. The horses are named Poco and Missy. Here is a baby picture of
me after my Mom took care of me!
Rusty is gone now, so I have to help with all the chores, and I
just love doing them. I don't need a leash or anything. Rusty said when your humans whistle or call your name to answer immediately, and I always do.
If the horses come too near the yard fence, I bark and bark to
scare them away, but when I go to the barn, Missy lets me share her food, right from her bucket. I think she likes me. Poco is jealous and puts his ears back and runs at me.
Mom has two other dogs I helped raise. But they are boys--you know how boys are!! I plan to include some health links in my favorite links 'cause you know how boys are! Now, in 2001, there is yet another new puppy. Here is another picture
of me as a baby at Christmas time...my first at Black Rock Ranch.
