? Cason was also known as Mary I am guessing that Mary is the unknown daughter mentioned in The Genie citation who married a Ramsey. Note that 1850 census for Claiborne Parish shows a Nancy Ramsey, age 8, living with Mary's father Michael Cason. She was born in 1844 at Louisiana. She was the daughter of Michael Smith Cason and Nancy Edwards. She was enumerated with Michael Smith Cason on the census of 17 September 1850 at Claiborne Parish, Louisiana, as "Mary Cason". She was listed as a female of age 6 who was born in Louisiana. She had attended school within the year.

He died on 12 June 1916 at Bossier Parish, Louisiana, at age 58. He was buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Plain Dealing, Bossier Parish, Louisiana.
