NOTE 1: Bill Polk has indicated that James' name may have been James Lucious 'K' or 'M' POLK. He was probably the son of Andrew Polk and Colon CARAWAY.

Notes for SUSAN FAULKNER:

NOTE 1: Susan (or Susannah's) last name may have been spelled "Falkner." The Falkner surname has other connections to the GRACE family.

NOTE 2: Information about Susannah Faulkner (Lilly's mother) and Lilly's siblings has been provided by Bill Polk. I have not attempted to verify his findings. Data has been added as a possible starting point of family history research. If you have further questions about this particular Polk/Faulkner line, please contact Bill.

North Carolina. She was born in North Carolina, and died in Texas.

Generation No. 2

2.    Lilly James² POLK (James Knox¹) was born January 22, 1858¹,
        and died November 12, 1906. She married Frank Joshua GRACE
        January 22, 1879 in Fort Worth, Texas², son of Gilbert GRACE
        and Eliza FALKNER. He was born November 15, 1855 in Anson
        County, North Carolina, and died 1945 in Bremerton, Washington.

Notes for Lilly James POLK:

NOTE 1: A handwritten note found in my great-grandmother's belongings stated that: Lilly's father (James Knox Polk) was a cousin to President Polk, who had no children.

NOTE 2: Lilly's Burial: Sedro-Woolley, Washington
