Another thank you goes to DB for once again getting in touch with updates on his latest projects.
As we know DB directed, produced and co-wrote (along with Brian Currie) Dirt Nap. Another credit to add to the list is Claudio Rocha as Director of Photography. DB says he is happy with the project and expects it will be finished sometime near Christmas.
Sorry to disappoint you all but DB will NOT be appearing in the Cutting Edge sequel (I assume some IMDB reporter just took a guess at the cast). However he WILL be appearing in The Darwin Awards and has scenes with Joseph Fiennes. DB is now currently filming Yellow (directed by Alfredo de Villa) in Puerto Rico alongside Roselyn Sanchez (Basic, Rush Hour 2) and Bill Duke (Predator). Once filming is completed DB will return to editing Dirt Nap.
Finally, DB would like to give his best to all of you reading this site!
On an alternate piece of news, thanks to Mike we now know the full series of Life As We Know It will be released on Region 1 DVD on August 23rd.

A big thank you goes to DB for taking the time to update us on Dirt Nap. I received an email from DB to confirm details of this project. DB co-wrote the story which he describes as "the story of three lifelong friends who set out on an adventure to escape an early mid-life malaise which has engulfed them". Additions to the cast not previously listed are Rex Linn, Mark Moses (Desperate Housewives), Ned Bellamy and Vanna White.
DB says the filming went really well and he'll endeavour to keep us updated with developments. He also says he's making sure we'll like this movie! We've got a 6-9 month wait for the finished film to surface but we all know it will definitely be worth the wait...

Thanks to Azzro on the forum for the news that DB has become a director! He will direct and star in his independent film "Dirt Nap". He's managed to put together one hell of a cast too (with some ex-co-stars in the mix): Moira Kelly (DB's The Cutting Edge co-star), John C. McGinley (DB's Hear No Evil co-star), Pat Hingle, Paul Hipp, tennis-star John McEnroe and The Great One's wife (that's Wayne Gretzky non-hockey fans!) - Janet Jones Gretzky.
Apparently Dirt Nap is a comedy about three men going through a mid-life crisis. The film follows the men on a road trip from Pennsylvania to Florida.
I believe filming began on May 9th in the Wilmington, USA area. News reports on the production can be found here and here. If anyone has any further news on this project I would be very glad to hear from you.

Unfortunately news reports have stated that Life As We Know It is due to be cancelled:
"ABC has given clear indications that OC-style series Life As We Know It is being cancelled.
The show has struggled to find an audience against competition from Joey, Survivor and indeed The O.C. in its Thursday night slot, despite a number of recent reruns on MTV.
Now the network says that it is "unlikely" to order more episodes beyond the intial thirteen completed. "It's been one of my frustrations," ABC president Steve McPherson told reporters at the weekend. "Sometimes you do your best and you come up short."
Just as this news is announced Living TV in the UK have added the show to their schedule. Life As We Know It will air on Thursdays at 9pm starting from 17th February. Reports state that the UK's run may include the two unaired episodes remaining in the series.

We start the first update of the New Year with a new interview with DB by 'Popgurls'. It makes for good reading and it's always a pleasure to read new interviews with DB.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to ask fans out there to see if they can help me find any archived images on the internet of DB from his celebrity hockey games (that don't already exist on this site and that isn't many). Over the past seven months I've been bitten by that notorious hockey bug (Let's Go London Racers!) and would love to see more images and read more articles on DB's involvement with this fantastic sport.
I've dug up images from DB's involvement with the Starlight Children's Foundation 'Stars with Sticks' game last January, which can be seen here.
Upon watching the 'Ultimate Gretzky' DVD and seeing actor Alan Thicke featured during the Wayne Gretzky Fantasy Camp footage, I remembered reading about DB's involvement with this camp in the past. Thanks to the internet I managed to track down journalist Lindsay Berra's account of her time at this camp alongside DB at ESPN.com: Article 1 / Article 2.
Whilst we're still on the sports front I've also found a baseball-related 2003 interview with DB: ESPN Classic.
