19 Weeks

I have started to gain a little bit of weight. According to the scales, I've gained about 2 pounds. Hopefully the doctor's scale will be kinder to me...HA HA! I'm still feeling pretty good. I get those backaches every few days that I got during my pregnancy with Cameron- the kind where it feels like someone is stabbing me in the lower left side of my back. Funny thing is, DH has been getting the same pains in the same place! I told him it must be sympathy pain. I am also finding it harder to relax at night. I get tired, but not tired enough to fall asleep. It's not uncommon for me to lay in bed for an hour or two and just toss and turn. It's not even my stomach that gets in the way...it's just a general feeling of being uncomfortable.

Speaking of stomaches, mine is really starting to get big! I haven't accidentily bumped it into any furniture yet, but I'm sure that won't be too far away. I tried to put on some velcro swim shorts that I had from last summer...what a joke! I couldn't hardly even get the velcro strips to attach to each other! Every so often, too, I'll touch my stomach and it will be really tight. Since I know the baby is bigger, I'm not sure if it's the baby laying in a certain position that I'm feeling, or if it's a Braxton Hicks contraction. Either way, it's kind of neat...doesn't cause me any discomfort...YET! I am really trying to enjoy this pregnancy, though, and not wish it away...especially since this might be our last child.
