While Boyz II Men were on hiatus from the Evolution World Tour in the early fall of 1998, Boyz II Men concentrated on their "new" clothing line Groove. The story behind Groove is that there were also rumors of Boyz II Men starting a clothing line back in the Alex Vanderpool days of Boyz II Men. The clothing line was never really released commercially, but could be seen on them sometimes. The first name for Groove was GTP, Groove Track Productions. In a pin-up for Bop Magazine in 1995, Boyz II Men were seen wearing Boyz II Men jackets with the logo on the side. Nothing more would really come of Groove until January of 1997 when Nate wore a hat with the Groove symbol, or the "google" at the opening of the Motown Cafe in Las Vegas, Nevada. But, once Evolution was released, Groove was being worn by at least one of the fellas at every appearance. Groove has now taken shape and is now available in a mens and women line. It can be found almost everywhere. The co-owner of Groove is Brad Beckerman, ex-husband of Paula Abdul and the son of the man who started a major sports clothing line, Starter. Many celebrities have been seen wearing Groove. Celebrities like Monica, Tia & Tamera Mowry, Kim Fields, Fred Savage, Darius Rucker from Hootie & the Blowfish, Will Smith, and more. Groove is what Boyz II Men really concentrated on in late 1998 by promoting it at a Los Angeles Foot Locker, and other places. Groove is now an expression of Boyz II Men, and will probably be around for a while.
