The original diningroom was painted green...as was the rest of the house....must been the color of choice for the entire neighborhood at one time. |

Gary raised Zebra Finches, along with a couple of other varieties and built a 3x3x6 foot bird cage to keep them in. You can see it against the north wall of the diningroom. We used a blue patterned wallpaper and gold paint (look familiar? Same color used on the kitchen ceiling). |

The diningroom has had two different coatings of off white in the last 6 years....usually around graduation time...LOL |

Why is it that kids like to have their picture taken in a pyramid? I don't know either....Anyway, more green walls to be covered. Firt coating was gold, LOL, second coat a few years later was off white. |

In the background, you can see where we knocked out the livingroom wall. We used the space under the stairs for storage and eventually added a railing up the steps. When we got licensed for Foster Care, we had to add a 6 inch extension on the railing to be in compliance. Always got ya coming and going. |

Here's a funny way to work the Christmas tree if you have a several little ones. Hang the tree from a swag lamp hook, you won't have trouble with tipping trees or bouncing Christmas balls. The walls had the gold look in this photo. |
