My
Project Page
This page contains some of
the projects I have done. Most are spare time projects that I have done at
home. I am displaying them here so anybody that is interested may use them as
they wish. As I become more experienced in the art of designing electronics, I
look back at older projects and realize how much better things could have been
done. I guess that means that I am learning, exactly what I hoped would happen!
Project is used to test the wiring of a circuit breaker tray assembly. 2x20 VFD is used to display instructions to the user and test status.

“Stepper Motor” Project -
2000:
Controls a stepper motor using a PIC16F84. More of a learning project for myself, on how to use / control a stepper motor.
·
“Graphics LCD” Project -
2000:
Interfacing a 128x128 graphics LCD to a MCU. Never finished this project, someday I will get back to it when I need a graphic interface.
·
“PIC17C7XX Routines”
Project - 2000:
This was going to be a library of routines for the PIC17C7XX family of microcontrollers. They were never really pushed that hard and I decided not to put in any more effort into these as the PIC18 family has arrived.
Small robot that had a SHORT life span. It’s amazing how fast kids can tear stuff up, their hands must be small explosives.
·
“Automatic Gain Control
(AGC)” - 2001:
Small AGC circuit used to control the input level of a signal going to a digital down converter. Uses an AD8313 and a PIC16F876. Software written in CCS C.
·
“Rocket Timer” Project -
2002:
1s to 15s timer used to control the second stage for a model rocket.
·
“DC Power Switch” Project -
2002:
TTL controlled DC power switch. MAX switch load tested to was +85VDC @ 6A.
·
"PLL Programming" Project -
2003:
Using a BASIC STAMP to program National Semiconductor's LMX2316 PLL.
