Power Macintosh

The next generation of computers is the Macintosh. Not only are they the fastest, easiest to use, and easiest to upgrade. They use next generation RISC processors also  known as PowerPCs made by
Motorola.

The Macintosh was the first computer in the mainstream market to have a GUI * (Graphical User Interface) interface when it was introduced in 1984. Since then they have set the standard in usability and introduced feature years before PC had them. Through the years the Macintosh has gained a speed edge over Intel machines especially during the switch from the CISC 68xxx machines to the RISC PowerPC machines in use today.

The latest PowerPC processor is the the 750. They are used in Apple's
Power Macintosh G3 computers. They outperform Pentium, Pentium
MMX, Pentium Pro, or Pentium II computers at the same MHz. running the same applications. Even though some cost more than PCs research shows that Macs more than make up for their worth in maintenance cost in which PCs almost always cost more.

Due to the introduction of the iMac, Apple has started to regain market share after the stability introduced by C.E.O Steve Jobs. Previously they had been losing cash and markertshare to Wintel machines. Now that software is widely available and the platform will survive there is no reason not to buy a Macintosh.
