OS/2 is probably the best PC Operating System made so far in my opinion. It runs DOS, Windows (16 bit w/ a 32 bit converter possibly in the future due to the Win32-OS/2 Project), native OS/2, and Java programs in their own protected space making the system nearly crash proof.
The OS is a bit dated when
it comes to the software department. IBM and Netscape recently released
Netscape 4.02 for OS/2 Warp 4. There is also a new version of Lotus Smartsuite
for OS/2 Warp 4. Finding hardware is easy if your computer is more than
a year of two old. Finding new hardware drivers (especially video and network
cards) it is nearly impossible.
