Carpet Laying

We finally are getting rid of our 33 year old green nylon carpet..
The new one is a light colored Karastan carpet. The pile is about 1/2 inch higher the the old one so all the doors had to be trimmed to fit

Here's the carpet truck. The carpets are unrolled on the driveway for cutting.

In the living room all the furniture was moved out except the piano.
The underlayment is in place.
The floor on the den has been stripped

A foam padding is layed down first before the carpet is installed.
The carpet in the bedroom has been layed down.
It is much brighter than the old green one.
Now we can unpack our boxes.
