Steve & Yoshi's Remodeling - 2001

Well, this year we finally have our kitchen remodelled. In addition we recovered all the floors on the first level and the stairs to the studio.

The activity began the day after our open studio weekend (April 28-29). Here are some photos of the work in progress

The first thing we had to do was pack up ALL of the kitchen stuff and store it in the garage. This, plus all the food stuff which we put in the wine room is it. You can see our Open Studio signs in the lower left.

Ah! The contractor's have arrived. Two brothers, Niel and Mike Vanni.

The first thing the contractor brothers did was to remove the hood over the cook top and replace it with a sky light.

They put their ladders on top of the kitchen island and cut a hole up through the roof.

The contractor's trucks are parked in front of the house.

On the roof they cut a hole for the window.
First some of the shingles had to be removed
