1st FOOT Position FEET TOGETHER. Stand with feet together, heels touching and toes just slightly apart (about the width of the thumb) in a natural position.

1st Foot Position

2nd FOOT Position FEET DIRECTLY APART. From 1st foot position, move one foot directly to the side, more or less equivalent to the length of the foot.

2nd Foot Position

3rd FOOT Position HEEL TO INSTEP. The instep of one foot touches the heel of the other foot. Back foot is on an angle that will allow both knees to face forward when bent.

3rd Foot Position

4th FOOT Position WALKING STEP. Walk a straight line, with the center of the heel and the center of the big toe on one line. When moving forward or backward, the 4th foot position is in a straight line. When stationary, the position forms a curved line to maintain balance.

4th Foot Position

5th FOOT Position HEEL TO TOE. Touch the toe of one foot to the center of the heel of the other foot, in a comfortable curve.
