[Spaceship Bridge] [Spaceship Greenhouse Pod] [Inter Deck Ladder] [Docking Port Door] [Living Quarters] [Transmat Station] [Core Hull] [Engine Room] [FTL Duct] [FTL Generator] [BR Overall]
Since the Spaceship BR is highly modular, it made sense to take advantage of that modularity for some of the basic legal requirements. In the case of the living compartment modules, they also serve as escape pods, in case it ever becomes necessary to abandon ship.
The current ship design includes 8 LQ/EPs modules. This pod pictured below is configured to serve as quarters for some of the senior crew members. There are only two bunks, and bathroom facilities are included. The captain would rate a private pod, possibly connected to his conference room/office by a passageway or ladder. Junior members of the crew would be quartered at four or more persons per pod. They would use communal bathroom facilities, located in a single barracks/pod.
To meet their secondary function, each LQ/EP includes equipment to achieve a soft landing on a planetary surface, basic provisions and water/waste facilities. If it becomes necessary to abandon ship, rank would lose its privilege, and the number of crew members per module would be balanced out.
