Ship Central Hull

The Spaceship BR is highly modular, only the central components (from the bridge through the main corridors back to engineering and the FTL engines) could be considered permanently mounted. Everything can be disconnected and replaced relatively quickly. The exact time-to-remove varies between components. The LQ/EP can disconnect at almost any time (or speed), in just seconds, in deep space, from within the spaceship itself. Removing the botany bay(s) can take several hours or days. Safe removal must occur within a pressurized drydock, with some fairly heavy equipment. It isn't meant to be replaced often.

The central frame of the ship is intended to include two decks, with a number of vertical connections. There will be a lot of exposed detail in this area of the ship, it only exists to hold the ship together and to allow personnel to move between ship modules.

The final version of the core is likely to look quite a bit different. For one thing, it will probably have walls. Also, this mockup uses multiple copies of large and unusual pieces. I'm not likely to put my hands on enough 6x8x1 white slopes to tile the roof.

More importantly, the frame needs to be beefed up by one or two orders of magnitude. BR is likely to be a heavy model.
