There's nothing much we can do on day one because it's already
evening when we arrived. At 7pm we went for a walk in the Taman Negara Resort. There are
small wooden boats to carry passengers across the river from the floating restaurant to
the Taman Negara Resort jetty. The boat operates from 7.30am to 11.30pm and you need to
pay RM0.50 for one way. The resort's surroundings is very peaceful and quite. You can hear the
sounds of crickets and cicadas when it's starting to get dark.
The Park Interactive
Center is open at 8pm. You can get information about the park, animals and plants. There's
a souvenir shop too. At 8.45pm they will show a documentary video about the park. That
night when we are watching the video, we were disturbed by power failure more than 8
times. At the end everybody gave up and went back. Ah Lin suspect that the monkey is
playing with the main switch. On, off, on, off...
We were walking in the
dark to the jetty. There's no light to lid the path, although there's lamp post but it's
not working. It's good though because you can see the stars more brighter then we used to
see it in the city. It's been a long time since I look up the sky at night. Reminded me
when I was a kid.
I am so tired that
night after the long journey. We when to bed early.
