The Beaubourg ( Pompidou Center) has been reopened January 1, 2000 after two years of renovation works. Now it really looks great. Its architecture (a Renzo Piano project) has been adapted to the new exigencies of the BPI (information public library) and the National Museum of Modern Art.

The BPI has been completely renewed and furnished of a great number of multimedia places, to access and search the catalog and also to access freely the internet (for this only standing places, access to E-mail servers denied). There is also a section dedicated to the press with journals and magazines from all over the world. The access is free from 12 AM to 10 PM from Wednesday to Monday.

The National Museum of Modern Art is now rearranged on an extended area on two floors, with an increased number of works exposed. It is opened from 11 AM to 10 PM from Wednesday to Monday and the ticket is 30FF, 40FF for two persons, free access the first Sunday of every month and for < 18 years.
