I think that French cooking has no need of any presentation, but the best thing in Paris is that you can have a very good meal at a reasonable price almost everywhere. If you search for a cheap restaurant try the guide "Paris Pas Cher". You will find a section with a lot of good restaurants where you can have a complete meal for 15 Euros or less. Obviously there are a lot of excellent expensive restaurants with three, two or one Michelin stars, take a look at the Michelin guide, and if you don't have any problems with money there is a lot of choice. Consider that almost all the restaurants, also the most luxury ones, have a special price menu for lunch. Try, if you can, "la tour d'argent", wonderful location, excellent food and wines, very expensive bill.

If you are searching for a cheaper solution, try the "bistrots" or the "brasseries", You can find one of them in every corner, and is really difficult to choice one where the food isn't good. The menu with the prices is well exposed outdoors all the times. Only for example:

Go to an ethnic take-away for lunch, very cheap and good, there is a lot of choice.
Try also a winery (bar a vin), I can suggest you "le Coude Fou" rue du Bourg Tubourg.
