I strongly suggest you to choose an Hotel in the district of Marais or Les Halles or St Germain and to escape from the great touristy Hotels. There is a great choice of little charming Hotels that can offer you a fine accommodation at a little price. Take a look at the Micheline Guide or follow this link The Paris Pages. I can suggest you the Hotel Agorà and the Hotel Beaubourg, both very close to the tube station of "les Halles", cheap and clean. Other good options I have tried are the Des Grandes Ecoles, Beaubourg, the Little Palace and the St Germain. We have a little flat in Paris and we are interested in Home exchange.
