I strongly suggest you to buy at the newspaper kiosk "L'officiel des spectacles" or "Pariscope" , weekly from Wednesday to Tuesday, to know what's on in Paris. They will inform you about all the cinemas, shows, expositions, concerts and all that you can do in Paris. If you want to have an idea of what Paris can offer to you, take a look at PARISCOPE on line, here you can see on line a selection of the shows of the current week. In alternative you can use the Figaroscope, a supplement to the Figaro newspaper of Wednesday, or Paris Sort il? a free magazine distributed at theatres and cinemas.
If you want to go to cinemas, theaters and concert halls, there is a lot of choice. One of the best cinemas of Paris is the UCG Les Halles, which have about 25 screens with the best sound, and is very popular. Almost all the films you can see in Paris are in the original version and there are a lot of shows in English. Try also the little theatres like "le Café de la Gare", the Essaion, the Moliere theatre that are really full of fascination. It isn't difficult at all to find last time tickets for theatre and frequently you can have a promotion that offers two places at the price of one. You can book your place at the Fnac, (tube stop Chatelet Les Halles) and Virgin, Avenue des Champs Elysées, but you will pay a supplement. There are also a lot of good free concerts in the churches, concert halls and at "La Citè de la Musique" a museum entirely consecrate to the music. And if you want to have a dinner after the show there isn't any problem at all, a lot of restaurants are opened all the night and you can eat at any time. If you want to reserve on line for concerts, theatres, expositions or sport happenings try at http://www.fnac.fr/.
