Sure, it is not possible to ignore the Louvre or the Orsay and the Picasso Museum, but I strongly suggest you to visit the Marmottan, the Orangerie, the Rodin Museum, the Maillol Museum ( a lot of interesting expositions of modern art), The Jaquemart-André Museum, and the Gustave Moreau Museum, much more quiet and relaxing, and full of artistic treasures. You have also to spend a day at the Beaubourg Museum of modern art, Centre Pompidou. Also interesting are the Maison de la culture Japonais" and the "Fondation Cartier".

There are also a lot of exhibitions all around the year, I strongly suggest you to buy "l'Officiel des Spectacles" or "PARISCOPE" (weekly, from Wednesday to Tuesday) for an exhaustive list of all the expositions, with timetables and prices.

Remember that a lot of museums can be visited with free admittance:

It's worth to visit the new National Library Mitterand Tolbiac that, in spite of polemics, is really interesting (visit the Media-library) and the "Forum des Images", a video-library with a lot of films and documentaries you can search and individually preview, French authors in preference.

Take a walk in the old district of Marais, in the Jewish quarter of ghetto ( try the excellent Jewish restaurants and take-away, look at where_to_eat ), and visit the parks: Tuleries, Jardens Luxemburg, Bois de Boulogne and Bois de Vicennes( take a look at the flower garden "Parc Floral", in April - May there is the magnificent azaleas blooming ).

Visit also the painter's and sculptor's studios in Bellville and in other artist districts. This is the calendar of "Portes ouvertes des ateliers d'artistes" open doors at artist's studios:
