Trains
During my stay in Japan, trains played a very important part.  In America, I had only ridden on a train once.  Here I took the train daily to
school and anywhere else that I wanted to go.  They were a great convenience. There were about 30 train lines in the Tokyo-Yokohama area alone and there were more still being built. They allowed me to tour places by myself and go places.  I was also able to ride the bullet trains a couple times.  Those trains are extraordinary.
Yokohama Station.
The heart of old downtown Yokohama.  It is still a very busy place with 3 million people passing through daily.
The Keikyu Line.
This is the train that went by
Kanto Gakuin.  I rode it almost daily on my way to school.
Chigasaki Station.
This was the station near the
Moriyama home that I went to to catch the train.
The signs I would use to learn kanji; the Japanese writing system.
Yubarri Station in Hokkaido.
A line guide.  It showed how long it took to get to get to each station that this line serviced.  It also showed any connecting train lines.
