I am going to go on the optional Day Trip to Venice for the workshop. This will include a luncheon at a Pallazio on the Grand Canal and guided tour of Venice. I was going to stay at the hotel pictured on the left, however it is full. Hotels will be expensive and hard to find this late. I've decided not to stay in Venice, I've been there before. So I'll just go on the guided tour and then return to Modena for the evening (unless I can get to Scarpia).
