"The Mentor"



A Brief Background: Bob is Gren’s friend and boss. Although, later in the story he becomes Iria’s partner. He also has some connection to Puttubayh which is never really explained. In some form or another, Bob is in all six episodes.

The most significant thing that happens to Bob is when he becomes mortally wounded by Zeiram. Puttubayh puts Bob’s mind in a computer and locks him up in the Tedan Tippedai headquarters. But Bob, being the clever person that he is, has Iria help him breakout.

From there on, since Bob was legally declared dead, he decided to help out Iria in her pursuit to stop Zeiram.

The Yeti’s Thoughts: Every good story needs a wise mentor who helps out the hero. Bob is just that person, he tries to help out all the principle characters, Gren, Iria, Kei, and even Fujikuro. He’s also wise beyond his years, he’s about the only protagonist who knew about Zeiram beforehand.

He’s also extremely helpful. Even when his mind is stuck in a computer program, he hires Fujikuro to watch over Iria until she can rescue him. When Iria runs off by herself to face Zeiram, Bob again convinces Fujikuro to look for her. He even tries to help Iria out on her jobs, giving her recommendations on how to proceed. I could go on and on about Bob, but I think you get the idea.

Useless Trivia: Bob and the Karma's computer were old friends.
