* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I have briefly discussed the Houses and their "Rulers". Now lets have a quick look at the planets, a sort of astrological shorthand. I don't want to get too technical, after all, these little articles are meant to gently inform - not alarm everyone, the heavy business of all those horrible calculations are for the Astrologers. What a headache, but how revealing! I rather fancy the idea of being an Ancient Astrologer, in a little tower, just like the famous Dr Dee who guided Queen Elizabeth I, or Nostradamus who was in real danger when he was attached to the court of Queen Catherine of France. He couldn't tell her the awful fate of her children, but saved his skin by saying that all her children would become Kings and Queens, as indeed they did, which happily satisfied her... Fortunately, now-a-days we astrologers, who incidentally are quite normal - well almost, do not face the block or the guillotine if our clients don't like the advice we give. We do tell the truth, gently, and try to show how understanding a chart can help steer a way through life - but I digress, lets get back to the planets... just click on the links above, but remember, the stars foretell, but they do not compel.
