Why are the adoptee names so strange? The adoptee names are all Gaelic, with the exception of a very few. You may see where we get the names by visiting: Gaelnet or Celtic Names
Why do you only allow one adoption? We started this because we thought it would be more fun for all of our viewers. It has now become a necessary because we get more than 20-30 adoptions requests a day. There are some days that we have gotten as many as 100 adoptions requests. How do you make your adoptees? First, mom designed the adoptees in PaintBrush or Paint. Next, she pulled them up in Corel PhotoPaint and straighted or refined the lines. She uses Corel PhotoPaint to change the colors and customize the adoptees for you. Last, she uses GIF Construction Set to make the backgrounds transparent, or to animate the referral winners. How do you make the accessories? The accessories follow the same pattern as the adoptees. Can I name my own adoptee? Yes. We like using the Gaelic names, but we'll let you name your adoptee if you put the name you want on your application. I received my adoptee, but I don't think it's what I asked for, what do I do? Just e-mail us, tell us the problem. Make sure to tell us the name of the adoptee that we sent you and we'll fix the problem. We want everyone to be happy with their Enchanted friend. I've told so many people about adopting, and they have their adoptee, but I don't have very many or any referrals. We keep a list of each and every adoptee. The list includes: e-mail address, URL, Your name, your age, the adoptee's hair color, clothing color and which adoptee number you picked, who referred you, and your adoptee's name. If you send us an email, we'll tell you what we have on our list. If you know which ones you referred we can check their information too and see who they said referred them. We have had several that have said "so & so sent me" but we had more than one "so & so" and we didn't give any of the "so & so"s credit for the referral because we didn't want to give the referral to the wrong person. Why do I have to e-mail you to let you know when I have my adoptee on my page? This let's us know that when we put your adoptee on the home list that when people visit your page they will get to meet your adopteee. I'm an AOL user and I'm having problems getting my images to appear on my site, what do I do? We don't use AOL, but we have a few great people that are willing to help you. Just e-mail them and ask. They are: Katt Meg Erika I have a page at Tripod and I'm having problems with my images, what do I do? Just drop our wonderful Tripod volunteers and e-mail and see if they can help. They are: ~Angel~ Heart Sarah I have a page at Geocities or Angelfire and I'm having a problem, what do I do? You can e-mail Us and we'll do the best we can. We are very familiar with Geocities so we should definately be able to answer your question. Angelfire, we'll do what we can, but we don't have anybody that knows much about it. When you e-mail, please also include what kind of browswer you are using and the URL of your page. It helps a lot to be able to take a look at your page. I applied for an award, why haven't I heard anything yet? We promise that if you applied for an award we will review your page. We are receiving award applications at an alarming rate and we're looking as fast as we can. What do you actually do when you review a page for an award? First, we take a quick look around at each page of your site. The quick look is to make sure that everything loads pretty fast and that none of your images are broken. Second, we start all over from the front page and check each and every link to make sure they work. Third, we view your document source (html coding) to look at the problems we might have found to see if they are just coding errors. Fourth, we look at all the notes we've written while reviewing your page and e-mail you with the results. The e-mail you receive will tell you whether you won or not, and the problems we found (if any) and if you requested that we make suggestions, we'll give you some if we have any. If you said you didn't want any suggestions we won't give you any, but we will still tell you about broken links and images. When is the best time to reach 4 kids by email to receive the quickest response? The best time would be between noon and 4:00 in the afternoon (Eastern Time) because mom is on the computer during that time and answers e-mail as soon as it is received. She also checks mail and makes some updates between 2 and 4 in the morning when she gets home from work. This time might be better for those of you that are in a different time zone. The weekends are a little different because we go places, but you can still email. Do you have ICQ? Mom has ICQ and is happy to be of assistance through ICQ messages when she is online. The UIN is 457687. Jeremy, Jordan, Emalie and Chloe really don't chat, but you may e-mail them and they'll be happy to answer, or at least Jeremy will, the other three kids will answer with mom's or dad's help.
