T Sound
This is the letter T. The sound that
the letter T makes is the same sound that you hear at the
beginning of the word tree and triangle.
Follow along with the picture above. When you see the letter T
have your child make the sound the letter represents. Then have them
say the words tree and triangle.
If you have reviewed the vowel sounds and they know the sound the letter S makes, you
may try blending them. Here is an exercise to practice with. This also should help them
begin to understand that you read from left to right, top to bottom, if you do them in this order.
Have your child make each sound as shown:

Practice the t sound and the t combined with the short vowels sounds until
your child knows it before moving on.
