Corduroy's Busy Street
Featuring Don Freeman's Corduroy...Pictures by Lisa McCue
It shows Corduroy the bear's travels through his neighborhood meeting
people such as the letter carrier, firefighters, and police officers.
Nicely illustrated with a short sentence on each page, just right for short attention
spans.
There are several books in the "Corduroy" series and they come as "boardbooks" which
are sturdy enough to withstand the treatment dished out by this age group.

Incident at Hawk's Hill
A novel by Allan W. Eckert
Set in 1870, about a boy Ben MacDonald who has the ability to communicate with animals.
He wonders off from the family farm and doesn't return home. The book details his survival in the
wilderness with a female badger who had recently lost her pups. The book is base on
a true incident and is a remarkable story.
I plan to add a highschool age group, but haven't completed my research on this
age group.
