When the Folks lost Sarah, the whole town was grieving with them.
All the kind townsfolk were trying to help find a little raccoon for them to love and lo and behold,
a nice man found some information about a USDA Licensed Breeder and sure enough.......
They "adopted" Maggie !
And so began a tremendous love affair between Maggie and the Dad. Everywhere the Dad went, Maggie went and
Life went on.  Maggie grew and learned how to compete with the Mom for "His"affection. Being racers, our Folks traveled a lot and after a year or so of "sneaking" Maggie into Holiday Inns, it was

Back home, there was big excitement. The Mom is known as a "Sucker" that will give ANYTHING with four

But the most fun part of the day was eating with the Folks. Maggie would hear the silverware signaling
Another great joy to Maggie was her "purse". Given to her by Aunt Carolyn, Maggie would sit for hours
One day the Folks got company and the man had the flu real bad. The Folks didn't know that raccoons
the Mom was to be barely tolerated. It was a bloody battle with the Mom trying so hard to get Maggie to like her.
The Mom bled a lot but finally Maggie called a truce.

said "Oh, don't worry, she will be fine". When Maggie got worse, the idiot ex-vet tried to make her take some
terrible tasting anti-biotic which didn't help and by the time the Folks found a QUALIFIED caring vet, Dr. Ralph
Pope in Memphis, TN, her body had started to shut down and after four and a half years, they lost Maggie.
If you do have a raccoon...PLEASE make sure your vet is qualified and willing
to find answers and proper treatment.
