He was married to Kathryn Elaine TOWNSEND on 20 Oct 1950 in Vermontville, MI. Robert graduated from Hastings High Scholl in 1940. He joined the Army 5-19-1943. Sent to Hougton College, U.P. where he studied Map Reading for the army, also Engineering in general. then to fort Balvoir,Va. to an Engineering school. He served in the European theater. was in the Battle of the Bugle, Rhine river Battle and other important engagements. Fortunately he received no serious injury. He received his honorable discharge 5-1-1946. His serial# 16089062. He attended L.C. College and obtained a Realtor's licence also took a course for car air conditioning. He has been a State Employee for 26 years in the Agriculture Dept. as Supervisor of Food, Weights and Measures for South-east Mich. Bob's hobby is Photography.

Katherine graduated from Hastings High School in 1940. She worked only a short time outside her home and has devoted her time to home and family.
