Peter Bronson FOSTER

  Pete and Anne memorized their vows. at St. Michaels and All Angels Church. Father Turney.
  Reception at the Case home, 4715 Northeast Alameda, Portland. Then Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood as a first stop in drive back to CT via the Canadian Rockies. See slides.
  We had a 1949 Studebaker Starlight Coupe - 2 door bean green, which was a great car, Pete's first big investment after starting to work for the Southern New England Telephone Co. It was a great trip back with a few adventures like food poisoning on Weinerschnitzel in the Rockies, missing the turn into Glacier National Park with Pete's refusal to turn back 30 miles to go through with the original plan and a first fight driving across the flats of Wisconsin whereby Anne got out to walk and Pete drove off leaving her alone on the road for 15 minutes or so. Everything went well after that and we arrived safely at our honeymoon cottage at Whirlwind Hilltop, Wallingford, CT safe and sound. Anne's first reaction was, "Oh, what a nice fireplace". Before Anne was carried over the threshold Larry Grimes called Pete on the telephone, their first call as a married couple.
