The Disassembly

After all the sketching and diagramming it was finally time to completely disassemble the piano and begin the work in detail. After removing the action it was time to remove the keys. Before they were moved a diagonal line was scored across the wood of the keys. This allows one to know which order the keys go when reinstalling. With all the keys removed all felts and punchings were also removed. These will be replaced later when the keys are reinstalled.
