TOYS:

Transformers - these were awesome.  Robots that changed into cars and planes.

GoBots - not quite as good as Transformers.  I think they were less expensive which why I had alot of them.  They were made by Tonka.

G.I. Joe - I didn't get into these very much because their vehicles were so hard to put together.  I mean they came completely disassembled!

M.A.S.K.- I have the entire collection of these vehicles.  M.A.S.K. stands for Mobile Armored Strike Kommand.  These vehicles turned into different types of war vehicles.

Hot Wheels - these were the best.  Hot Wheels were made tough and they lasted for years.  At first Hot Wheels only made race cars, but later they started making domestic vehicles (ambulances, dump trucks...etc.).
Unfortunately this collection hobby has been made lousy due to bulk buyers.  A few years ago when I worked at a retail store, several people would come in a buy most of the Hot Wheels in stock so that they could resell them at flea markets.  These people take the fun out of collecting these toys.  They were only interested in making money.

MatchboxCars- these were made in England.  They were pretty good too, but not as good as Hot Wheels.  Mostly domestic vehicles.

He-Man

Star Wars - these were awesome.  I had the Death Star which was a great playset.

Barbie - my sister was (and still is) into these.  Now she just collects them for their value.  She doesn't even take them out of the box.

California Raisins - this was a marketing concept originally conceived by the California Raisin Advisory Board to promote the consumption of raisins.  Sales went up by 20%.  Numerous toys and figurines were marketed to kids.  However after 4 years, raisins sales were lower than before the campaign started.

Big Wheels - remember what it felt like when you rode this?  You were the fastest thing on wheels.  I had a Dukes of Hazzard one.
