Let It Shine

Before God created the world it was without form and void. Darkness fell upon the face of the deep. God said, "Let there be light", and there was light and He saw that it was good!

Before God entered our world through Jesus Christ, we were without form in our lives and void of all that is truly good. Darkness was upon the "face of the deep". Upon accepting Christ, God said inside of us "Let there be Light!", and there was the Light of Life. It is a light that truly is good. Now we no longer walk in darkness but have the Lord of Glory to shine inside of us.

Jesus lit a candle in our hearts not to be hidden, but to let shine before all of the world. The candle is the flame of God through His Holy Spirit. The flame is an endless fire that cannot be quenched by all of the flood waters on earth! It's as hot as the fire upon the throne of Jehovah God!

It is up to us to allow the candle to shine, we have a choice. Let's all choose to shine the Light of Jesus Christ placed in our hearts. All together, just think of the bonfire we can create!

There is a candle, in every soul
Some brightly burning, some dark and cold
There is a spirit, who brings a fire
Ignites a candle, and makes his home

So, carry your candle, run to the darkness,
Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn.
Hold out your candle, for all to see it

Praying to our Father, in the name of Jesus
"Make us a beacon, in darkest times"
