- Slice the vanilla stick lengthwise. Then add the stick, milk, and half
of the sugar to a pan. Cook till sugar melts.
- Place the egg yolks in a bowl. Stir, the add the sugar. Keep on stirring until
the color turns white.
- To the bowl from the last step, add the milk gradually from step one. Stir,
then return the solution to the pan.
- Use low heat to heat the pan. stir with a spatula until the solution turns
to a syrup. (This creats the vanilla milk.) Then take the pan off the heat and let it cool.
- Place the cream in another bowl. Have this bowl placed in another bigger bowl
with ice water to creat the water bath. Stir the cream for about 6 minutes or
until bubbles start to form. Then, by using a filter, pour the vanilla milk
into the cream.
- Then pour this mixture into a container and place in the freezer. For every
30 minute intervals, stir the mixture then replace the container into the freezer,
