Goblin army (2000 points) - Big unit gobbo army (2/0/0) Theory - the plan was to use the new 6th edition rules on big units. Namely you get +5 combat resolution for free (+3 ranks, +1 standard, +1 size), then to charge the flanks (I was fighting Skaven) which would both reduce 3 for negating rank bonus, and 3 for the benefit Skaven get on their leadership. In this end I took fast stuff, and big units - I picked goblins because of the rule about getting more characters if you have no Orc ones - this enabled me to get 3 shamans plus a Battle standard, plus a hero and a lord! Practice - First battle went very well, I had a static left/middle, and on the right swept up both chariots, one unit of wolf riders (who did for his Jezzails) and the giant which killed his doomwheel. This enabled me to get behind his units by the time the rest had marched into charge range, by using Er We Go, I could charge a unit into his rear and front at the same time. Having a base of 5 LD meant an autoflee, and it rolled along from that. The second game we had (same armies) I took a lot more damage, he charge his VerminLord straight in this time, and got his Plague Monks into my Blackorcs (who died horribly - despite charging him, and getting two free rounds of combat with that waagh spell). The left flank had my SOBB paste his gutterrunners, but they got seriously shot up by the jezzails, the right flank once again got pasted by my fast stuff, who came about (a little slower) to mop his units up - combined with goblin charges.
