....Once again News that is Family News This is somewhat of a mini-series covering past/present/recent events in and around the house for a eighth time.
This page of several others and "getting better as we go" keeps you up to speed of events around here. Rather than go and edit each and every edition below are two links to step back or jog forward. If this is the most recent the NEXT will not be available. To go back in time to Family News Previous & Family News Next, it's like reading old newspapers (it's news to me).
Something New: Here for your entertainment is a page of early McLellan history in pictures. Details are there.
©1999 D2M, I'm sure images and certain proprietary items are here somewhere, they at all times belong to/ registered to the respective owners, you know who you are.
Karin's world
990704 - A very exciting weekend of soccer! Saturday July 3 the Celtics remained undefeated at the tournament in Sherwood Park. Sunday morning they had an unfortunate turn but secured a Bronze medal after a crushing 6 - 0 win during the last game Sunday afternoon. I was shocked and amazed the phone company was handing out hardware after the event. Her medal of course has Telus cast into it.

990709 - The world is still safe and secure from bad hair with Karin at the helm of Hair Today.

Sherri's world
990708 - After a lot of miles and interviews with companies far and wide she has a new job with better benefits & much better pay. Starting Monday July 12 Snap-on Tools has a new employee.

Carolyn's world
990710 - It's been two months since she has been "kicked up a notch" and doing very well. Several appointments with Doc Bob and the ladies of the pacemaker clinic have all given her a very optimistic and on her way to a clean bill of health.
An appointment near the last few days of June at the clinic with the surgeon was concerned with the site and the thinness of the covering tissue. Since she has had a malady for several decades a complete turn around will take some time, time to adjust and time to heal.

The story has just begun, albeit the interesting parts have been occurring over the last few months she will now begin the hurdle where life can become normal in what manner has yet to be defined.

Very often during the early evenings we will walk to the slurpee store at a comfortable pace. Magazines there are fine and although lotto tickets have so far been only something else to read. Nothing great to report on winning the big one, if it was this site would be hosted from the south of France or the beach. Perhaps we should be walking to a store that sells better tickets! This might be a good idea to increase the distance and up the challenge of walking.

Slowly and steadily she is also trying new foods to get around her lactose and gluten difficulties. Meals around here have changed, perhaps healthier in some aspects! At the granola store she has found corn and rice based food items that are quite good. The Lakeview bakery has a few breads that are gluten reduced and very good. Every so often we discover something new.

Don's world
990709 - Sometime soon vacation time will be here and where and what has yet to be set.

The House
The fan keeps us cool...
990710 - Caution: Don't buy a Melnor hose reel. This pile of polycarbonate crap has become a headache. I have written to the manufacturer and yet nothing has become of it nor do they reply. I had turned several pieces on the lathe to repair it in several ways but still the hunk of junk is still leaking. It worked fine for about 3 months, but when and after it was really used it started to fail. The only solution is to leave it in the store and go with the tried and traditional hook on the wall method.

To be continued...
