What's New

It's new to me
What's New

Welcome
What's new that is new.

Hello again & welcome back! Here is the page of new, changed, edited & altered.
The far side of the page is what's new or changed with links to the offending page or item.
The LINK page is where I have collected an assortment of time honoured Mac links and some general interest items. Remember, if a problem is found please use the mail to let me know if I missed something.
Thanks to all that have written!

20020902 - Soon the email address or anything related to mac.com will be gone.
I refuse to become part of this scam.

The rest of the D2M experience is in a constant state of change. The whole schbang gets edited at random with abandon. I've found windoz hardware here and there do not display this as written. What can I say? Macs do not seem to have a problem with it.
No attempts are afoot to remidy this.

The pages here have grown to double digits and all violating most rules of english, HTML and good grammer. [But] even so, take a few minutes to check it out.

The front page is the best one to bookmark since I change the page names often (when out for re-writing).
This has been written with Netscape 3 in mind. I now have Netscape 7.0 and as I learn more the result is coming together as I go.

A few visitors to the D2M have made the comment "Where on earth are you?" Well wonder no more, point toward the map page and recall from grade school geography the continent presented. The second image delivered should be familiar, this is the greatest country known to man (my humble opinion, naturally). Glance to the west and somewhere high atop the mighty shores of the majestic Bow river is the thriving metropolis of Calgary.
Our beloved federal government has supplied these maps unknown to them. Not bad for free, eh? The store bought versions are about 10 clams and printed on very nice paper, suitable for rumpus rooms et al.

Hey Kids! More maps are posted from this starting point you can see Calgary as it was in the '20's. Check out city maps Believe it or not, the single highest reason to visit D2M are these maps!

Thank you George!

Whoa, the Paramedic Times have decorated D2M with an award for "Outstanding content and design excellence in a WWW site.", with a strong mention of Canadian content.

Show your colors, May The OS Be With You!

000808 - This season I went off the standard road of thought for a short "time". Want to clear out that hat rack of yours and contemplate for a short time.

Some weekends I alter little bits here and there on most pages. Small details such as links to other sites and the continued effort on the projects are on-going. To keep the dust off the html I try and change and improve stuff where I can.

One of the reasons to really get "all this" off the ground is to keep up to date on all Mac related items of interest and also to stay in touch with family members. The challenge here is to get the other family members to tune in and check out the addresses of those of us who are mentioned here. And at the same time have an interesting visit.

980808 - The colors to the right do have a purpose. They are and will be the navigational reminders and hints when travelling around the site. You will notice the color of each page and the link that took you there are the same, nifty eh? Not really, but it makes it easier for me to throw this all together with a splash of color to "link" it all.

Interesting Links

A new page, actually the Mac link page was getting too long so I have solved this and branched off.

The results are in. Checkout the recent scores.

Project's The Project page is growing. With links to the current projects that are afoot and other fine examples.

The D2M page was going to be my starting point/front page but it is too cluttered. Soon I'm going to add some personal details and this is where it will be. Actually there is some there now and the D2M self portrait.

The Mail & News page is the place where the eMail issue is discussed. Also some casual ponderances about what's going on here. I've also thought (I know, it happens) about a page of general ramblings and such to share some observances from our perspective.

Good news,The Mail & News, part two page is ready. Hold on The Mail & News, part three page is up. Issue three has a web page location device for Mac users and an email address device.

Check out the Fam page for random bits of news from here.

For images take a peek at the Fam pict page, PICT's for a look at 'yer humble host and soon to be other gif's and such. Some pict's of some ol' fam members are here as in GGGGreat grandparents.
Scanners are getting close to my price range and this after a Video capture card/device might be the next purchase.

Thinking of random hardware, I have noticed the DOS box at the office does not support Java or sound (does not surprize me).

Need a Problem solved?

All around the site are historical ponderings and with related research into family and old maps I have obtained copy of a 1903 Calgary Telephone Directory.

Most are here now.

Some Wintel boxes do not recognize the fonts or sizes I have used! I have come to the conclusion that, too bad. Antique technology has very poor survival rates, regression is not on the menu. For my B&W (or grayscale) brethren I hope it is not too difficult to get around and with lighter colors I hope this works.

I found a cool redirection service for free (of course), check out their site. For the next time you visit here bookmark this: D2M

Remember from eons ago (that means the 70's) there was a popular flow chart that depicted the poor guy who happened to try and fix something. Well I have placed it here on the site. Problem?
