.... Once again the continuing saga that is Family News This is somewhat of a mini-series covering past/present/recent events in and around the house for a thirteenth time.
This page of several others and "getting better as we go" keeps you up to speed of events around here. Rather than go and edit each and every edition below are two links to step back or jog forward. If this is the most recent the NEXT will not be available or be generic in nature. To go back in time to Family News Previous or to leap forward Family News Next, it's like reading old newspapers (it's news to me).
Something Different: Here for your entertainment is a page of early McLellan history in pictures. Details are there.
©1999 D2M, I'm sure images and certain proprietary items are here somewhere, they at all times belong to/ registered to the respective owners, you know who you are.
Karin's world
991201 - The current semester is almost over and the spring session fees are paid and books are all that are required. A few late nights to go and she will have it under control. Why is it that school always includes late nights? Perhaps, just as it was for me, the house is quiet and the pressure is mounting you can do in those few hours a few amazing things. And have a social life.

Sherri's world
991205 - The office had a big sale this weekend and we joined her to see for ourselves the staggering collection of some of the finest tools around. Too bad they don't have telecom test gear. :) Or heaven forbid Mac hardware.
In her constant quest to find nirvana with underwear she has obtained a second job at a lingerie shop in Chinook Mall. Several things that muster thoughts sometimes difficult to understand concepts include high priced but albeit fancy underwear, the idea of a underwear store and the primal need for such things. You know what I'm trying to say.
My thoughts aside, she is doing very well and enjoys both jobs far too much. There you go, how many of us can say that.

Carolyn's world
991202 - A pacemaker clinic (EP) visit is due next week and not too soon. She has been experiencing some adverse effects of a yet unknown nature. We both went to the EP clinic recently at the Foothills site only to have shoulders shrugged and have another Holter Monitor placed. I think I have spoke of these before, it is a portable unit that will record over a period of 24 hours most cardiac activity during this time. As it turns out it did not record! I don't believe this, rather it has happened again. They (holter monitors) are not very high tech stuff but come on now, this is not the only time she has had it failed and I think it's about time to get some better equipment or repairs. This is not the only thing that can be done with out stating names and general practice. wink, wink. This is part of a longer story than I have the calm and patience to write.
991203 - At times staying at the office has been difficult. She has gone in a few days but as timing has been an appointment has been during a regularly scheduled work day. It is far more important to be well than be Zen with office equipment. 991204 - Still not good as far as the heart rhythm goes and the adverse effects of it. She is in a near constant state of what could be described as a vertigo kind of thing. This is of course a reason for medical attention but you know from reading here the wheels of medicine do not turn very well. More facts will be known very soon.

Don's world
991206 - Last month's rant about traffic is over, whew! This month I will stray only to say that it is that time of year we all get too busy trying to get out of the mall parking lot with car and purchases intact. Life and limb also come to mind. I have observed the human animal in action and I can say with very firm conviction they have not yet mastered the simple task of travel with a 4 wheeled vehicle. What this machine does to some minds has been a mystery for generations, it is not my sole conclusion that this might very well be a new machine incubated virus. Imagine this, buy a very small car or Yuppy Van and take a spin at a full parking lot, see what happens to the people around you. Chaos ensues. This becomes my observation that the vehicle takes hold of your mind and common sense is abandoned completely to be replaced with an unknown virus. This virus causes the compact car to be driven in a manor that takes all other drivers by surprise and astonishment.

Take a mental note next time you hear a horn blow during the Christmas Chaos and notice if a very small car with blacked out windows is escaping the area. Trust me it's this or the under use of that strange handle sticking out of the left side of the steering column. Yes fellow man, woman and child this unusual device should be used when the vehicle is in motion. It's not an option, it's included in every vehicle today.

The House
The fan keeps us cool...
991201 - The 7RP (70's Removal Project) has taken yet another step toward fruition. Disposal of several more lamp fixtures and continued wide spread use of PL lamps. The upstairs bathroom is stalled until suitable flooring is procured. The chief users are still deciding on color, texture, yadda, yadda. We are waiting and standing by to solve another decorating emergency.

To be continued...

Next time this will be updated the year will be 2000, my millenium was fine, yours?
