.... Once again the continuing saga that is Family News This is somewhat of a mini-series covering past/present/recent events in and around the house for a fourteenth time.
This page of several others and "getting better as we go" keeps you up to speed of events around here. Rather than go and edit each and every edition below are two links to step back or jog forward. If this is the most recent the NEXT will not be available or be generic in nature. To go back in time to Family News Previous or to leap forward Family News Next, it's like reading old newspapers (it's news to me).
Something Different: Here for your entertainment is a page of early McLellan history in pictures. Details are there.
©1999 2000 D2M, I'm sure images and certain proprietary items are here somewhere, they at all times belong to/ registered to the respective owners, you know who you are.
Karin's world
20000103 - School is beginning very soon and with this our social life will have to change again.

What's up with kids and snowboard's?

(Mount Royal )

Sherri's world
20000102 - Her day job at Snap-on hosted a great Christmas party and some time off during the holidays. Sounds like a great place to work. The night job at the gaunch store has kept her busy and in the loop with all the fancy under things.
She still enjoys both jobs far too much. There you go, how many of us can say that.
If you read this Sherri, your father says to run outside now and check your car's fluids! Hurry.
NOTE to those who are perhaps hesitant to stare under the hood of your car.
Go out there now with a wiping rag and check ALL the fluids for correct levels and appearance. I don't care if it's cold out or dark, it must be done. Ask if you are unsure. Sherri's Dad says so!

Carolyn's world
20000101 - Once in a while you have to sit back and look at what is going on and think about it for a minute. Twice this past month the trusted people you go to for professional help and guidance have let us down. The first incident was concerning the pacemaker clinic. The Foothills clinic in November made some small adjustments and placed a monitor for a 24 hour session. Neither did the adjustment nor the monitor work. It was not known until after a visit was made to the Rockyview clinic that we have found out how high the incompetence quotient is at the Foothills. Day and Night. Plain and Simple.

Several days around this time she was subject to an oral discomfort that was diagnosed by the GP completely wrong. The prescribed cures and potions did nothing but exasperate the patient. The young dentist available the next day after she was to the stage of despondent surrender, recognized and instantly cured her trouble. Kind of reminds me of the mechanic that would suspect the windshield if the car won't start.
20000103 - Returning to the office is held up for the moment due in part to a predominantly morning arrhythmia that sets her back for pretty much the majority of the day. More facts will be known very soon.

Don's world
20000102 - Christmas was great! You can't beat the time off from work, the family, friends, great food, great drink & laughs. Tell me what is wrong with too much of a good thing, well other than wanting that all the time, then it would be a bad thing with nothing different to look forward to than less of a good thing, but then that would be bad, wouldn't it? Is this a good thing?
Are we all sick and tired of this Y2K crap? The non-event that was by my estimation the bigest marketing coup of the century. Billions of dollars spent for what? Who cares if DOS boxes die? They would have had to be replaced every 2 years anyway, they self obsolete themselves! I was too busy running around checking my paper plates, TV guide and the weather report. :)

The House
The fan keeps us cool...
20000102 - The 7RP (70's Removal Project) has taken yet another step toward fruition. Replacement of likely one of the oldest (other than the occupants) things around here was the HiFi. The old amplifier (not receiver, the tuner was separate) had darn near kicked the bucket. The power supply section was failing and the potentiometers were all old, noisy and dirty. The response of the unit was I'm sure going as well. The new unit sounds so much better it defies comparison. Sony has done it again. We are waiting and standing by to solve another stereo emergency.

To be continued...

Next year at this time will be the new millenium, my decade was was fine, yours?
