.... The continuing saga that has become known as Family News is here again. This is somewhat of a mini-series covering past/present/recent events in and around the house. This is Volume 2 Issue 7.
This is one page of several others that "getting better as we go" keeps you up to speed of events around here. The idea that this may appear as a monthly thing is false. It is written when the weather keeps me indoors or when the notion strikes me. Remember this is not only for those far away but for those of us who have a moments to spend during the day when reading is much better. Take a moment to write and let us know events unfolding at your end.
Something Different: Take a step back to 1969 and see a photo of the Glamorgan Grad's Details are there.
©1999 2000 D2M, I'm sure images and certain proprietary items are here somewhere, they at all times belong to/ registered to the respective owners, you know who you are.

Before It's like reading old newspapers, "It's News to Me" After

Karin's world
20000820 - Car fixed except for a pesky charging system fault.

20000828 - Footwear, footwear, footwear is the buzz word of the day during our bi-annual pilgrimage to the land of cheap shoe stores. Great weather in Great Falls and not bad shopping.

20000905 - Another season of college is upon us.

20000917 - The car is feeling much better after a faulty re-built alternator is replaced. We put too much faith in these things!

(Mount Royal)

Sherri's world
20000901 - Still here: Cian & Corey's engagement photo's.
20000902 - C & C's big day.

20000903 - We have a Wedding! Stand by for photo's of the event coming soon to a monitor near you. The link (off-site) above of the pre-event will be updated to include new photo's.

(Snap-on tools) (La Vie en Rose)

Carolyn's world
20000825 - Where were you in '69? Since the Viscount Bennett Reunion 2000 a few photo's have surfaced. Take a step back to 1969 and see a photo of the Glamorgan Grad's

20000828 - Footwear, footwear, footwear is the buzz word of the day during our bi-annual pilgrimage to the land of cheap shoe shopping. Ed.note: This is my poke at the uncanny need for women to procure more shoes than days to wear them in.

20000901 - Time is running out! Take in the slide show of sister Kathy's 50th Birthday Party in pictures.

Don's world
20000901 - Fence/shed story has come to a conclusion. Fence painted and shed purchased and assembled. Not a bad looking unit at that, sound and nice fitting. I'm speechless in awe...

20000903 - While updating this I found another proud owner of a similar shed. Clique this for a photo to get a better understanding of what I am talking about. For some unknown reason a simple plastic box has me almost jumping up and down. Notice the clean lines, the complete lack of former beer can material, the instant relief of never having to paint it, I could go on. Perhaps because it's new with doors that work as promissed and not dented in the shape of a car.
What's going on with garden shed's and their doors? What kind of sic people design these things? How does one hire a group of designers with not a scrap of sense in any of them? I'm thinking a committee (or some kind of "action/implementation plan") could have a hand in the design comes to mind. These metal sheds I speak of are not inexpensive nor easy to buy, they want top dollar for painted scrap metal with negligible design work put into them. Sliding doors, horsefeathers! If you have had one of these you will know what I am speaking of, the one day you really need to get in you crumple the doors doing so. Then it's no doors closed for some time until you regain the presense of mind to repair them, all the while holding back the strength to crumple them into a ball and send them back to become beer cans. Once that metal becomes creased it takes a wholesale re-engineering job to establish satisfaction once again.

20000905 - Back to the salt mine... Can't wait :)

The House
The fan keeps us cool...
20000901 - The 7RP (70's Renovation Project) is stalled. Summer is still distracting.
20000903 - The weather is poor at the moment and this means it is time to spend it wisely in the garage. The other on-going project(s) is always to muster the strength to keep a space for garage projects. These are some of the mysterious needs that husbands have (refer to shoe procurement above) involving the gathering of power tools into a small building and savagely damaging otherwise sound pieces of defenseless natural wood fibre into shelves. These shelves are seldom a time nor money saving project. Two rails and four brackets with a couple of boards put up in five minutes are the best method of building shelves I have found. The time spent in the garage can be better used by watching the game or catching that movie on the old TV you put in the shop years ago. This way both time and money have been saved and you have the satisfaction the game was witnessed by more than just your buddies. I think I will save some money and go to the garage now...

We are waiting and standing by to solve another shelf emergency.
