What you need to know about the internet.

ZShell is the name of a shell that is used to run programs written in assembely language on the calculator. Assembely is much faster than basic and can do many more things than basic. The current version of ZShell is 4.0 and it is currently compatable with all ROM versions. To find out what version of ROM, Read Only Memory, you have hit [2nd], [Mode], [Alpha] then [S]. Download ZShell.

There are other shells for the TI-85 wich are compatible with ZShell 4.0. They are CShell-NT v3.05, OS-85 v3.1, OS/7 OShell-85 v1.0, PhatOS 0.9, Rigel 1.0, SuperNova SDK v0.94, and Usgard 1.5.

The way to transfer data between a calculator and computer is with a graph link. A graph link is a cable Texas Instruments sales that connects to your computer. It is absolutely necessary to own. Click here for information on purchasing a graph link and its software.
