2 July 2000 Hang out at Kaosan Road.
6.00am Malaysian time, reach Bangkok finally. We miss the train by 5 minutes. Sh*t! I hate that bus driver. He drop all the passengers at Kausan Road, a place for backpackers, it's a backpackers heaven. What can go wrong now? When we collect our backpack back, I found that mine has been open! Lisa notice hers too. My goodness, they ransack our bags! Double bummer! Luckily nothing is missing, thank God we kept all our money and passport close to our body, or else we are dead meat!

Next thing to do is to find a place to sit down, chill out and decide what to do next. After a cup of hot Milo at a coffee shop, we decided to stay a night here and catch the 5.55am train tomorrow. So now we have the whole day in Bangkok.

We stay a night at J & Joe's guess house. How we know this place? Well cause Lisa has the Lonely Planet book! It's the only guide we have. She did her homework very well. Good job Lisa, we all couldn't have done it without her :) There's only one room with 2 single bed left, it cost 180 Thai Baht and another 50 Thai Baht for extra one person. Took a refreshing shower and have a good rest for a while. Zzzzzz.......... :)

It's time to discover places around Kausan Road. Lot's of backpackers here, especially westerners and Japanese. Foods, T-Shirts, sourveniours are sold along the street and it's cheap too. They even has this hair do at the street where you can do your draglog or small pony tail. Kriss has a strain of her hair to do the draglog. It's pretty cool and cost her 80 Thai Baht. It's a shopping paradise here. I think I begin to like this place. Kriss and I begin to sport what kind of things we want to buy when we get back from Cambodia. We can't buy it yet cause if we do, then we have to carry it all the way to Cambodia. But somehow I bought two packets of  chopstick! No wonder my backpack so heavy! Stupid me :P

Something strange and funny happen that day. Kriss met up with one Punjabi guy who claims that he can predict the future very well. I don't know what happen to Kriss but she seems to be very charm by him. He wants her to pay him some amount of money if she wants to know more about her future. Kriss agreed and so he ask her to follow him to his office. Lisa and I didn't trust this guy so we tag along to make sure that Kriss is safe. We follow him to a small lane, then suddenly he sit on the floor. His office huh? I can't believe Kriss is doing this! After a few minutes, another Punjabi guy and a big breast girl walk pass us. Fortune telling too? Oh dear...Kriss pay USD1 to the Punjabi guys for his service. Well I hope his prediction would be useful to you in the future.

We went to two wat/temples. One temple has a huge fish ponds with big catfish, "ikan haruan", turtles and terrapins. It's very peaceful here. I went in the wat to pray for our safe journey tomorrow. It's raining in the afternoon, so we head back to our room for a rest. Came out again in the evening for dinner. The Thai food is delicious, we eat a lot that night.

Tomorrow we gonna head for Siem Reap, Cambodia. I just hope that everything goes well this time. What do u think? For more adventures and mishap, check out Episode 3.
