Woke up with a terrible back pain and sore butt.
It's terrible! We checked out and the guest house people take us to Naga guest house with
no extra charges. They offer to take us to Angkor Wat the next day at 9 am with surcharge
USD$25. Naga
guest house is cheap and comfortable. After checking in, we head for the local wet market
to look for food. It's a 15 minutes walking distance from Naga. We had rice with
vegetable, and fried fish meat. I notice that Khemer cooking is almost similar to chinese
cooking. They used forks and spoons to eat rice and chopsticks for eating noodles. It's a
hot afternoon, Kriss suggest that we buy some mangoesteen. Mangoesteen is cooling and can
help cool down tour body. It's time to head back to Naga for shower and rest first, then
will explore the town later in the evening.
Siem Reap is a quite
and peacefull small town. There's a beautiful garden in the center of the town adn it's
own and maintain by the Grand Hotel D' Angkor. It's a best place to relax and lay on the
grass. Grand Hotel D' Angkor is the most expensive hotel in Siem Reap because it's a five
stars hotel. USD$400 a room per night. Wow!!!!!!
There's restaurants,
cafe, bar, souvenior shop, photo processing shop, internet cafe etc in this town. The wet
market is the best place I like most, especially the souvenier corner. The Khemer art is
so wonderful. It's mostly about the Ramayana epic and Buddhisim. I have a nice time
shopping and bargaining. Everything sold here is in USD. I bought T-Shirt (USD$2 each),
painting and a Cambodian scarf. The Cambodian scarf is a must buy, it's USD$1 each and
it's good to cover your face from dust when you are on the pick up truck ride. So many
things to discover. Ok, may be we'll stop by again on our last day here.
After dinner, we have a
good night sleep. Tomorrow is the big day! We gonna visit Angkor, Bayon and Thron. I hope
it's a sunny day tomorrow. Oh God please don't rain........... !
