Suspect that Richard was a widower when he married Anne with previous wife being Avis Rickell (married on on 24 September 1727 at St Austell), with three children being baptised to a Richard Nancollas at St Austell in this time frame:

Richard Nancollas was quite a charachter. There is a Chap book which describes him and also he was whipped at Exeter Assises for being a vagrant and returned to St Austell a number of times. There is a reference to a will of Lewis Tremayne of Heligan (near Mevagissey) leaving things to Anne free of the intermeddling control of her husband the said Richard Nancollas (this research courtesy of Mike Nancollas).
