Kamakura's Daibutsu

This little guy is one of the best known images of Japan.  He lives in Kamakura, a town teaming with temples, shrines and history just outside Tokyo, and is one of the more serene images of Buddha I've seen.  Very impressive--especially given the fact that the statue was built in the 13th Century.
