Quick Reference
- CSIRO Grapevine Server
- Accurate grapevine identification database, an Australian research organisation is behind this site.
- Super Gigantic WWW Winegrape Glossary
- Very large file but every useful information. It warns you before it sends it but I would check to see if the library has a reference title that answers your query first.
- Wine Pronunciation Guide
- Very useful, as it covers some very challenging words. Was put together by Robin Garr who is well regarded as a wine buff.
- World Wine Vintage Tables
- A useful and comprehensive list with good links back to the original sources
- Online Wine Lovers Online Searchable Database
- Many short definitions and some articles. Very easy to search. Very much quick reference for difficult terms.
- Wine Law
- American Wine Law Updates, Definitions, Labeling Regulations etc
- Wineries on the Web
- The largest list of wineries brough together. Use AraNui for New Zealand wineries but this is a very good start on the rest of the world, especially France and American wineries.
- Agricultural Clipart
- from the Texas Agricultural Extension. Completely free and all agricultural images. All black and white and some are dated but the plant images are like classical woodcuts and deserve to be used. Very easy to use. Gif is possibly the best format to take them in.
- Dr Ann Noble's Aroma Wheel
- Dr Noble is a professor at Davis with an interest in sensory science. The wheel is available to view. Just click on it. You do not need to download it to be able to see it.
