These are articles you can read in full on the Internet or print or download into your files. These articles would be more like updates than full research articles. You still need to make good use of the library databases to access those but these articles may supplement your reading in particular areas. We will add to the list as new titles come online.
- Viticulture and Enology Research Center
- from California Agricultural Technology Institute at the California State University, Fresno campus. They are putting many of their research publications on the Web. These are about 4-6pages long and very much on wine science topics. If it is not highlighted in colour,ask interloans if they can help you get hold of it..
- Scaffolds Fruit Journal
- Fulltext and searchable weekly updates on pest management and crop development from the Cornell University--NYS Agricultural Experiment Station. (March to September each year.) The amount of information on viticulture will be limited but this institution has a strong programme in grape genetics so will be worth linking to if your this or IPM are research areas of yours.
- Australian Wine in the News
- These are great, timely and fulltext brief reports on developments in the Australian wine industry. They are organised by the month and 1996 and 1997 are included. Some statistics on yield etc in some articles. This is a reliable online source too but the news is written by their own writers so must be referenced back to this web site.
- Mead on Wine
- Jerry Mead's longest-running syndicated wine column in the U.S. Much of it is reviews but also perspectives and predictions and all for free access. Very easy to access. Just click where it asks you to.
- EcoRating International
- This commercial site is publishing it's ongoing project of an ecological survey of California wineries and grapevine nurseries at this site. Although it's a local project, the scope is expanding. This is an interesting piece of research that may be worth following. The details on how it was done are included too

Australian Journal of Grape and Wine Research
A journal for the science of the grapevine and its products --wine, grape juice, tablegrapes and dried vine fruit abstracts. The abstracts can be searched for keywords.
Australian and New Zealand Wine Industry Journal
It covers the topics: practical winemaking, practical grapegrowing, articles on wine regions and wine styles, vintage reports, industry news analysis and comment, finance and management and research papers. This site has the table of contents pages (TOC) for this journal for the past 3 years. Easy to use.
